BBC Sounds Audio Lab is a podcast accelerator programme for under-represented voices. You'll need to have a podcast idea that has the potential to grow into podcast series of 4-6 episodes, to be showcased on BBC Sounds, and you'll need audio and content making experience across areas such as writing, interviewing, recording, editing or presenting.

You might already be self-publishing audio or video content on your own social channels; producing or presenting on community radio; have previously had junior audio production roles; or have other content making experience that lends itself to audio storytelling.

There are 4 roles available across Glasgow/Belfast, Sheffield, Salford and London, as fixed-term contracts for 7 months, from July 2025 to January 2026.

The salary is £27,800 (pro rata for 7 months) and the London-based role will also receive a London Weighting allowance.
