In this Community Engagement Coordinator role, you will work within BookTrust's regional partnerships team to support projects, pilots and pieces of learning to build greater place-based working across a network of partners.

You'll create excellent links into communities and understand the issues facing local communities and stakeholders in order to support BookTrust delivery and development work, and place-based, community-led initiatives. You'll be a positive, enthusiastic and credible ambassador for BookTrust.

You'll need a track record of developing relationships and making connections across a wide range of people and groups, along with great communications skills both in writing and in person. You may have worked within or across a local authority provider network, in outreach or in a local community or project within the third sector. You will have experience in and an interest in work with children and families experiencing deprivation and or children’s reading.

This role is home-based with extensive travel across the south England region and regular travel to other regions and BookTrust offices in England.
